This pantry is one of my favorite additions from our kitchen remodel.
Just 36” deep × 88” wide (only 22 sq ft), and it still works as a food pantry, coffee station, drink station, and appliance garage.
It’s also where we hide the containers and extras when we’re hosting — so everything looks tidy, but we still have what we need to send leftovers home with guests. And yes, it’s the grandkids’ favorite hide-and-seek spot.

Apparently, decades can go by and you’re still the same two girls… just with better taste in b**r. 😂🍻

My best friend from my five years in Texas during junior high and high school came to visit me in Maine. I moved back to Florida 42½ years ago, but within minutes, we were right back where we left off.

We laughed about tanning on her backyard trampoline covered in Crisco, the boyfriends we can’t believe we dated, and her being “grounded”—allowed only to go to school, work, and my house. That was all she ever did anyway. What WAS the punishment?! 🤣

Part of my love of vintage started with her grandmother’s amazing house and her dad taking us to garage sales, each with a little spending budget. Some of the roots of RCI go back further than I realized. ❤️

This time, we traded Texas for Maine: lobster rolls in Bar Harbor, antiquing, a sea captain’s house, Stephen King’s house, pumpkin races, a stroll through Belfast, and fall colors on the pond.

And her first cinnamon-sugar-rimmed Pumpkinhead b**r. Years ago, we tried adding sugar to her dad’s b**r to make it taste better. Turns out, the sugar belongs on the glass. 😂🍺

We’re already planning her spring visit, when she’ll help me plant flowers for Bunbill’s 2027 visitors enjoyment. 🌸

What a blessing to have a friend who knew you as a girl and still feels like home. Thank you, Maji Stubblefield, for an AMAZING week. Still us, after all these years. ❤️

I have a weakness for a good set of legs. And fabulous fabric. 😉
Meet The Stool Edit: antique and vintage frames with curves, carvings, and character worth keeping—soon to be dressed in Pierre Frey, Schumacher, and Scalamandré.
Another little beauty joined the collection here in Maine. Apparently, I wasn’t finished collecting.
When I return, I’ll take you through the transformations: preserving that lovely patina, choosing the fabrics, and giving each stool its next chapter.
Their planned debut? Black Friday, November 27. Members of The Collector’s Caché™ get first dibs—so some may find a home before the public debut.
To celebrate this collection and our growing RCI community, I’ll be giving away the wicker stool, freshly upholstered in green Schumacher fabric, when we reach 5,000 followers! Help me get there by Black Friday, and I’ll add extra treats to the stool prize, plus prize packages for two more winners. Whenever we reach 5,000, the stool giveaway is happening. Details to come! 🎁

Caftail Hour has taken a little pause for two very special arrivals: my oldest two daughters welcomed a granddaughter and a grandson on the same day, just 12 hours apart! For those keeping count, those are grandbabies 10 and 11. 💗💙
Now I’m in Maine, where I’ll be sharing antique finds, fall views, and decorating inspiration while I’m here. 🍂
Follow along for the transformations and arrival updates—and share RCI with a friend who appreciates old things in fabulous new clothes.
Want first dibs? Join The Collector’s Caché™—my email list for early access to new finds. Tap the link in my bio to sign up and preview The Stool Edit.
With love from Maine,

It started with a construction crew and a very clear picture in my head. Now it’s wicker and rattan, green, glorious pattern, and a table ready for company. The setting? Bamboo-trimmed melamine plates, bamboo flatware, and raffia-trimmed glasses. Even a porch dressed to the nines knows how to relax by the pool. 🍸
I’ve always believed the best rooms have personality, and the porch deserves just as much attention as any room inside. I layered outdoor Brunschwig & Fils Les Touches and Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon with Kravet performance fabric on the sofa, finished with Schumacher outdoor Lattice tape. And, of course, the flamboyant flamingos are ready to serve.
If you believe the outdoors deserves the same attention as the indoors, welcome to Risa Cermak Interiors. Come for the rooms; stay for the finds.

Five from The Collector’s Caché™ have entered the room, and subtlety was never invited. 💌
An antique majolica pitcher with flowers to spare. A lotus-covered vase. A blue-and-white elephant who knows she belongs indoors. A pagoda shelf ready for your tiniest treasures. And a Victorian sardine box with a surprise pink interior—because even sardines deserve a little drama.
Tap the shop buttons to meet your favorite. Which one has your heart? 🐘🐟

A little peek at the bathroom as it comes together. 🐚 The shell wallpaper, wicker, and leopard towels are making me very happy. More to come!
