Hi Happy Labor Day Weekend. I hope you are all enjoying yourselves. It's been a long, long time since I have been here in this group with a project and I miss sharing with you.

As you may know I am no longer a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - it's been about 3 years now since I stopped. I do still use all of the supplies that I already own. So today I want to share a few photos of a project I created quite some time ago.

It is a Scrapbook Journal/Notebook. I purchased a tutorial from Sherry Roth of Stamped Treasures to learn how to create the base of the scrapbook and then I used my own paper and creativity to design it. I thought it might be a great masculine retirement gift. This can also be used as a Junk Journal. The scrapbook measures 5-1/4" x 7-1/4".

Second attempt at a “Blind Date with a Book”. This one is for my neighbor. The description tag describes the type of book it is: 1960s Suburban America. Story revolves around four women - friendship, rebellion and self-discovery. The rating on Goodreads is 4.5/5 stars.

Happy New Year!!!! I hope you all enjoyed this holiday season. I made a promise to myself to get back in the craft room and use all the wonderful products I own to create beautiful projects to share with you (and not just cards).

First up is this “Blind Date with a Book”. This is my first attempt at one of these and I think it turned out pretty nice.

I used wrapping paper to cover the book and then used my metal dies for the tags and the bookmark along with an embossing folder. I backed some of the wrapping paper with carstock and then fussy cut flowers from the paper to make it easier to cut since wrapping paper is so thin. I grabbed a few treats I have in the house and stuffed them in the pockets. This book will be making its way to a good friend of mine.

I hope you enjoy this first project of 2026. I will be back next week with additional projects I’ve been working on.
