I got this information today and wanted to share. Jennifer is a friend and her mother was a wonderful kind and talented person. I can assure you these looms were well taken care of.

Hello,
My mother passed away earlier this year, and I would like to offer her looms and weaving-related supplies to fiber arts enthusiasts before I advertise on Facebook Marketplace.

I am not a weaver, but here is what I have been able to glean from her records and the internet:

36" Harrisville Designs hand loom (includes plywood base and bench)
Model T8
4 shaft/4 treadles
$400

36" Kessenich floor loom (includes plywood base and bench)
4 shaft/6 treadle
$600

Both looms have some documentation and are in excellent condition, and fold for transport. In addition I have assorted tools and supplies available that are negotiable . . . and can be bundled with loom(s) (ex: boat and stick shuttles, bobbins, heddles, vertical warping mill, spool rack, weaving books). Many more photos are available upon request, and I have additional information, as well

EDIT: I wrote the date as Saturday the 11th for the crochet class. It should actually say FRIDAY the 11th. Sorry for any confusion!

September updates:
I want to first let everyone know I will be out of the shop this Saturday. I will be back normal hours on Tues. September 8th. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day.

Stitch of the Month:
Crochet – Saturday Sept 11 from 4:00 – 5:30. We will be doing the Bobble Stitch – you will be able to do a dishcloth or you have the option of making a pumpkin. Please sign up ahead of class time so I know how many to expect. For the dishcloth it will be the usual $5, for the pumpkin it will be $6 (we will be adding a cinnamon stick and twine which I will provide)

Knitting – Date and time TBD – Hava -who will be teaching- has a pretty full September so please let me know if you are interested so we can work on a date. We will be working on a Mosaic pattern.

Harry Potter yarn update:
Here are the details I know: The yarn is going to be officially released on October 7th and I will not be allowed to do anything with it until then. This yarn will be 100% acrylic, Chunky weight and come in 448 yard skeins. It will cost $20/skein and 1 skein is supposed to complete a scarf.
I have ordered enough yarn to cover those who responded to my survey (there will be a few skeins more but I wanted to be sure those who responded were taken care of) You are not locked in to purchasing, but again, I wanted to be sure those interested were taken care of.
Would you prefer an evening or a Saturday time for a party? I am working with a couple of other shops to hopefully add even more fun to the event and will post updates once details are finalized.

Stitch of the month dates

Crochet - August 20 - Simple Tunisian 2:00 - 3:30 ($5.00)

Knit - August 22 - Faux Cable 12-1:30 ($5.00)

Our August Stitch of the Month will be a simple Tunisian stitch. For this we will still be using a size 8 hook and worsted weight cotton but will be making more of a coaster size project. If you have a Tunisian hook please bring it, but if you don't have or don't want to purchase one, we can squeeze enough stitches on a regular hook to make coasters.

If you want to learn either of these techniques but can't make the class times, please let me know and we will try to find a time for you.

Taking a quick, informal survey. I have gotten word that one of my companies will be releasing a Harry Potter, self-striping, house themed yarn to celebrate the upcoming t.v. series. One skein is supposed to make a scarf. There are 4 colorways, one for each house (basic pattern is on the yarn band) If you are at all interested in this – could you PLEASE answer the following questions, so I know how much yarn to order.
#1 Which house would you be interested in?
# Would you be interested in attending a Harry Potter themed party or just want the yarn?

I haven't heard an exact release date on the yarn yet, but please let me know your thoughts by August 15. I will update details when I have more info. Thank you in advance for any replies.

I can’t forget to tell you about these new Circulo additions too! We have cute hat kits (animal is the hat topper) and fun Amigurumi kits. For added coolness we have aviator glasses and tennis shoes for your creations.

Well, I have probably officially lost my mind and after these last few orders I’m pretty sure the UPS and FedEx drivers hate me now😜
I told the weavers I would try to show them some love too. It’s not the prettiest way to store it, but it made it all fit.

What you see here are Circulo Yarns Anne (4/2) and Looma (3/2). The Looma is hiding behind the Anne (again - so that it all fits) There are 36 colors and Circulo has many other size options I am willing to consider if there is enough request or I can special order.

We also created an account with Henry’s Attic who offer a wide range of really soft, squish-worthy fibers, most are undyed so are great for DIY projects. We can make special orders if you have specific needs for a project.

Hopefully we will stock even more options in the future once we see how it’s going. Weaving is still a learning process for me but I wanted to show some love to as many of our fiber enthusiasts as I can😊

I think I may be working late tonight😳

I am so glad to see this shipment though. Many of you who have made it into the shop the last couple months know how hard I have tried to get these yarns restocked. There have been so many roadblocks along the way and I was just about to think it wouldn’t be available anymore and then with a few extra prayers…. Here it is! Please be patient as we go forward with this new way of getting this yarn. It won’t be quite as fast and easy but I swear I’m trying really hard to keep it available for you😊

Ceramics by Christi Steelman has been working hard lately. She brought in these beautiful ceramic buttons, magnetic needle minders and the trinket dishes/trays are magnetic too! What a great place to store those little items while you work. It’s also not against the rules to set them out just for the cuteness of it!
