🌟 Vendor Spotlight: April Barnes Martinez of Candlelight Crochet
We’re pretty sure April Barnes Martinez has discovered the secret to adding more hours to the day. ☀️🧶

By day, she and her husband help keep folks happy at their Mexican restaurant in Macon, Mi Ranchito. Somehow, in her spare time, she also manages to crochet an entire underwater kingdom, a stable full of ponies, adorable dolls, cuddly bears, and enough handmade cuteness to make grown adults say, “Aww!”

At Candlelight Crochet, every creation is stitched by hand with patience, creativity, and a lot of love. Whether you’re shopping for a baby gift, a birthday surprise, or simply something guaranteed to make you smile, April’s booth is worth a visit.

One of the best things about Antique Alley isn’t just what’s on the shelves—it’s the talented people behind the booths. We’re proud to have April and Candlelight Crochet as part of our family.

Stop by and visit her booth, and try your best not to leave wanting to adopt a crocheted sea turtle, shark, or pony. We can’t promise success. 😉❤️

An old sewing machine base gets a new life as a dining table, topped with rich wooden planks—sturdy, vintage, and full of character.

One of my favorite things when traveling is stopping in small towns, exploring local shops, and getting a feel for the community. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to open a shop here in Macon. What started as a dream has become so much more than a store. It’s a place where our vendors can share their treasures, where friends can gather, and where visitors can discover a little bit of what makes Noxubee County special.
I wanted to create a place that would encourage people to stop, look around, and get to know our little town.

Every time someone visits Antique Alley—whether you’re a local customer, a traveler passing through on Highway 45, or just out enjoying a day trip—you are helping support our local businesses and bringing new life to our community.

Thank you for shopping small, supporting our vendors, and helping us share our story with others. We appreciate every visit, every purchase, and every friendship we’ve made along the way.

Meet Sherrie Eaves of Macon, the heart behind that famous chicken salad and the comforting casseroles we proudly sell in the store. Around town, she’s known not only for her wonderful cooking, but also for her beautiful singing. Most of all, though, she’s loved for the warmth, kindness, and generosity she shares with everyone she meets.

Whether she’s preparing a meal, lending a helping hand, or offering an encouraging word, Sherrie has a special way of making people feel welcome. We’re grateful to have her delicious creations in our store, but even more grateful for the caring spirit she brings to our community every day.

And we just happen to have that famous chicken salad in the store right now. Come see us at 10am tomorrow and grab a pint for lunch tomorrow!

Thank you Sherrie for all you do for the store and our community!! And, is it too early to order a key lime cake for the 4th??? ❤️❤️❤️
