As a seasoned upholsterer, I've observed that covering over worn fabric is a common, undesirable, practice in our field. This shortcut, often chosen for expediency, assumes the client remains unaware of the compromise.

I adhere to a higher standard. Not only do I believe it's unprofessional, but it also poses a challenge for future repair specialists. In my opinion, thorough restoration is essential to ensure the furniture's integrity and longevity. This approach may require more time and investment from clients, but it guarantees a superior outcome.
