Mother Nature has not been forgiving this year. I gave up on my sunflower crop after a wind storm came through and flattened them all.. or at least I thought! My favorite plum sunflowers survived 🙌🏻 these are my favorite variety to introduce into my end of summer/beginning of fall arrangements 💐

Dahlia season is here, and they are showing off! 🌸

I have a love-hate relationship with dahlias. They’re more work than most annuals, both during the growing season and in the off-season, and they require A LOT of patience—which, if you know me, you know I don’t have much of!

This year, I made it a goal to really focus on my dahlia crop and make it my best one yet. It’s always a learning experience, and sometimes a frustrating one but then they give me blooms like these… and suddenly, every bit of the work feels completely worth it.

The zinnias are thriving, and I’m already regretting not planting more! 🌸 I went with more neutral pastel tones this year, and they have exceeded my expectations. And can we take a moment for the ageratum? It makes the dreamiest backdrop. ✨💐

We are switching it up this weekend and attending the Argos Farmers Market, Friday from 5:30-8:00 at the Downtown Nickel Plate Square!

There’s nothing better than a morning sunrise with a good cup of coffee. Mother Nature had a little extra surprise this morning! The colors of the snapdragons playing off of the rainbow were hard to resist! 🌸☕️

The plant babies are venturing outside! It’s the last (very important) step before they are planted in the ground. They will be acclimated with Mother Nature throughout the next couple weeks so their roots aren’t shocked when they go into the ground.

I order these shelving units cheap off of Amazon to wheel them inside and out to make my life easier during this time. Each day they will stay out longer and longer to get the feel for the temperatures and sunlight exposure. Can’t wait to get these babies in the ground and start the 2026 season! 🌱
