Great day at the Mississippi State Capitol today with my fellow realtors. We heard from many legislators and it’s always great to get an understanding of issues that they are working through and voting on that impact Mississippians and homeownership. They covered topics like insurance premiums, ways to build homes that can lower those cost, requiring financial literacy courses in high school to educate our young people, debt reduction, priorities to make Mississippi or economically solvent and also how they are making our real estate regulations more clear and simple to help us do our jobs more efficiently. I always enjoy being at the capitol and appreciate all the men and women who work so hard for us.

Asterhouse update: Paint is complete! Tile has begun but it was a little too dark to take pictures. Ordered wallpaper today! I can see the Parisian influence from our trip this past year. This project is pushing me to explore design in a fresh new way. This is the point where months of planning start to take shape; where different moods in different rooms start to tell a story.
