I am an interior decorator and certified stager relocated from Texas to Wisconsin. Follow along for inspiration as I make the transition from farmhouse-chic in the south to rustic-chic in the Midwest; transforming my 1970's home in Oregon, Wisconsin. I didn’t always know how passionate I would be about interior design. In fact, my first passion came in the form of a nursing degree; caring for those suffering while creating a comfortable & healing environment amidst illness. It wasn’t until after renovating our 1978 house, that I realized healing & comfort begins in the home. I believe in creating beautiful & functional spaces that allow the home to be a place where memories are made & love is shared.

My name is Morgan Wenzel, designer and owner of White Rose Decor. I am an interior decorator who also specializes in furniture up-cycling and refurbishing. My style is modern farmhouse-chic.

Modern farmhouse is the blending of the old with the new - a minimalistic style full of warmth and character, using natural materials consisting of reclaimed wood and industrial metal along with softer fabrics such as linen, cotton, burlap, and grain sack.

Shabby-chic is rustic elegance, with the use of worn and old antiques, or newer pieces distressed and given the same appearance. Shabby-chic can also be compared to French country or cottage-chic - a style delicate, cozy, and oh-so dreamy!

My decorating has elements of both of these styles - a combination of natural wood, industrial metals, feminine florals, and lace, offering a sense of low-key luxury - what I consider my own Modern Farmhouse-chic.
