PHOTO OF THE DAY 11-3-25 Once, after the rain made the pavement dark and blew some leaves from the trees and cars flattened the leaves, it looked like a field of stars. I walked down the street remembering that we are all flying through space at 1.3 million miles per hour.

OakOak is an anonymous French street artist from Saint-Étienne. He began his "creative interventions" in 2006, while maintaining a day job as an office worker, having no formal art training.

The artist seeks to poeticize the urban environment, turning unnoticed infrastructure like cracks, manholes, and lampposts into whimsical vignettes, with the ultimate goal of bringing color and wit to the oft overlooked textures of city life.

His work can be found in France, Italy, the UK, China, the Netherlands, North America, and beyond.
