Went through my dad’s box of pennies he’d collected over the years last night. It’s amazing how much history was in that little box. These were some of the oldest going back to 1940, and a fun find of a 1943 back when they saved the copper for war efforts and made pennies out of steel and zinc. He kept adding more in until not long before he passed last year. I wish I could ask him about it, as knowing him there would have been some stories.
