Sometimes the biggest transformations come from rethinking what’s already there.
We didn’t move a single wall or change the layout, but this kitchen feels like a completely different home.
We extended the cabinetry to the ceiling, transformed the island into a custom furniture-style piece, and added a handcrafted copper hood to bring in warmth and old-world character. The island was custom milled and beautifully refinished by a talented local craftsman, creating a true centerpiece for the room. We also removed the window treatments to let the beautiful arched window become a focal point, then echoed that same arch above the hood to tie everything together.
The kitchen was intentionally kept timeless and understated, allowing the craftsmanship and architectural details to take center stage. The butler’s pantry is where we introduced a richer layer of color and personality, giving each space its own moment while still feeling connected.
It’s amazing what thoughtful design-and a team of incredibly talented local craftsmen-can do!
