Almost 3 years ago, I went on a run on this trail, and I remember coming to the conclusion that my marriage was probably over. As i ran, i wondered what my life would look like if it wasnโt โperfectโ from the outside. Could I do life alone as a businessperson and mom? What would people say? What would people think? Would Linda resent me/us as parents if we couldnโt make it work like we thought?
Almost three years later, I am back here on this trail, and i wonโt lieโฆ itโs a tiny huge moment.
Life has a weird way of placing you where you need to be when you need it most. And today, as i stand here, a totally different woman and absolutely ready to run againโฆ this time confidently in the direction of my (new) dreams.
It turns out that listening to your gut and trusting your heart (even when itโs REALLY hard) may take you into
the unknownโฆ it actually always brings you back to exactly where you belong.
Katy Trail, itโs not lost on me that we have the same name. Thank you for this full circle moment, and to anyone out there wondering if happiness is on the other side side of fear or your comfort zoneโฆ the short answer is almost always YES. Do the hard things and you will be ok. I promise.
In the end it turns out there is no right or wrong way to do it, and that your life is a narrative you have a hand in writing.
Time to nail this run, slay this day, and then go talk about design. ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
