Some of the most meaningful design moments happen in the spaces you don’t immediately notice.

This staircase and privacy door moment at High Alpine Retreat was designed with character to feel like a transition from the public rooms to the adult guest quarters, Narnia-inspired playroom and Tyrolean-themed bunk rooms. The arched doorway, with its custom wood door and intricate wood patterned panel set in between glass, offers just enough intrigue… a subtle invitation to see what’s beyond, but also a do-not-disturb message to the adorable kiddos.

Beyond it, the staircase unfolds with classic detailing, warm wood treads, crisp milky white balusters, and a sculptural handrail that curves effortlessly with movement. Yes, it is traditional, but not predictable. Refined, but still approachable.

Even here, where function could have taken the lead, we leaned into craftsmanship and proportion, because every step, every threshold, deserves to feel considered.

The vacation that filled every cup! 10 days in Andalusia...

I spent my first few days in Seville alone, wandering through the Royal Alcázar and Casa de Pilatos completely in awe of the pattern-on-pattern tile. Walls, floors, every surface telling a story. Triana’s ceramics district was especially charming, and yes, I left with a hand-painted bowl fresh from the kiln...like I had any other option!

Somewhere between the tiles and the color-drenched streets, I realized two things. I was born in the wrong century, and I become suspicious when any interior is too clean.

From there, I trained down to Marbella and joined four designers from the South Bay. We laughed for hours, cheersed for days, bought vacation dresses, and said wow too often to count. A highlight was dinner at Marbella Beach Club and the revelation about who we all were in former lives.

We drove to Granada with stops in Ronda, home to the bridge that took 300 years to build, and Setenil, a town built into the mountain. At this point, my toxic trait fully revealed itself, thinking I could fit just one more antique in my luggage.

In Granada, hosted by , we toured their stone facility and quarry in Almería, then explored the town with a flamenco show encore. The scale, the craftsmanship, the history, all of it. They truly spoiled us along the way.

Traveling with , , , and was something special. Strong, thoughtful, open-minded and incredibly fun ladies with no shortage of opinions and idiosyncrasies.

I’ve only been home a week, and I’m already dreaming about our next design excursion!

These renderings capture a space designed for opulence, à la Marie Antoinette. Delicacy meals, hand-painted murals by an team in Italy and Los Angeles, and layered textures that feel collected over time will indulge our clients. An antique Baccarat chandelier dating back to the 18th century crowns the setting. Every detail is intentional, whispering stories of the past, present and future.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s always a bit of a leap of faith at this stage, trusting that what lives in the render will translate into real life. But this is where the story begins: refining, adjusting, and imagining how the space will ultimately be experienced.

More to come as continues to unfold.

10 years, 3 offices, countless floor plans later…
From West Hollywood to Palos Verdes to Manhattan Beach, each space a little more refined, a little less precious, and a lot more me: equal parts restraint and “but what if we added one strange antique?”.

I’ve worked out of sunlit studios, borrowed corners, and offices that felt just out of reach—until they weren’t. Somewhere along the way, the business grew up… and so did my eye (especially for all things brocante!).

What this decade taught me:

– Taste evolves, instinct sharpens.
– The right piece is worth waiting for even if it’s right before the installation and a minor identity crisis.
– Trust your gut. It’s faster than overthinking.
– The magic is in the mix, not the match.
– “Finished” is a feeling, not necessarily a deadline.
– And the best projects are built on trust, not perfection.

Wouldn’t trade the process. Even the mistakes, ahem as I like to call them “character building moments”. Grateful for every client, every risk, every piece with a past that somehow found its way into the present, and every version of this tiny, but mighty firm along the way.

I have a thing for full kitchen design, the kind that’s lived in, loved, and unapologetically layered.

For this space, I drew from every hallmark of a classic English country kitchen: rounded corners, patina, a cast-iron sink, and yes, a farm table with a story (this one came from a monastery in Luberon, France…carefully unpacked and lifted down 4 levels by a dozen very brave men - one being the client, he was that excited about it!). Every detail was imagined to honor both function and feeling: handcrafted timber beams, natural stone, and tile that’s simple from afar but secretly intricate up close (the installer is definitely still be thanking me for specifying chamfered corners of every single tile, wink wink).

Rounded archways guide the eye to the hearth-like range wall—a spot made for morning tea, late-night conversation, and all the moments in between. Antiqued metals, soft linens, and tactile surfaces invite touch, lingering, and maybe a little daydreaming while you stir the pot.

This is why I love full kitchen design: it’s where storytelling, craftsmanship, and everyday life collide. Every inch feels considered, personal, and unmistakably alive. 🤍

Design is a big part of my life, but it’s not the whole story.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Outside of work, one of the communities closest to my heart is Sandpipers, a philanthropic nonprofit here in the South Bay. Founded in 1931 during the Great Depression by six women who believed in showing up for their community, Sandpipers has grown into a powerful network of hundreds of women committed to service.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Through year-round fundraising and hands-on volunteer work, Sandpipers supports those experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, emergency crises, and provides enrichment, health services, and advocacy for individuals who are physically and mentally disabled. It’s real work, rooted in care, and it matters.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I joined a couple of years ago, and it’s become one of the most meaningful “extracurriculars” in my life. Earlier this month, I hosted a gathering at my home with my Sandpipers class to share personal and business goals, swap resources, and learn from one another. We cleaned out our closets (mine was way overdue) and donated items to Clothes the Deal, a Los Angeles nonprofit that helps low-income individuals prepare for employment by providing professional attire and pre-employment services. Sometimes what no longer serves us can become exactly what someone else needs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Community, generosity, and women supporting women are always worth making space for. 🤍

New pieces have officially landed in the shop, and yes, a few of them were found while I was “just stopping by” an estate sale.

I have a long-standing love affair with vintage finds, the kind with good bones, a little history, and just enough patina to make a space feel layered and lived-in. Some pieces I keep, some I pass along, and some inevitably make their way into my clients’ homes once I realize they’re too good not to share.

This latest collection includes art, accessories, lighting, tables, and chairs, each one chosen for its character, versatility, and ability to elevate a room without trying too hard. Think collected, not curated-for-the-algorithm.

Whether you’re hunting for a statement piece or the finishing touch you didn’t know you needed, there’s plenty to discover.

✨ Shop the latest finds in my Chairish store. More treasures are always being added! (link in bio)

Let’s talk about this Guest Bath at our High-Alpine Retreat because, yes, even the guest bath deserved a passport.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Inspired by classic Campaign style (think vintage travel trunks, well-worn brass, and a life of impeccable taste), this space is rugged, refined, and quietly adventurous, like the friend who hikes at sunrise and still makes dinner reservations.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Form met function in all the right ways here. The drawers? They open as a cabinet door because good design should surprise you once, then make your life easier forever. The brass sconces are antique, fitted with a custom backplate (hello, code compliance) and painted to coordinate with the stone counter. Finished with burlap shades for just the right amount of texture, effortless, not themed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Add antique Directoire mirrors, and suddenly the whole room feels collected, storied, and completely at home in the mountains. Old-world charm, mountain calm, zero afterthoughts.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This project has been such a joy to watch come together, and this is just one chapter of the design story woven throughout the home. More to come from the High-Alpine Retreat, and yes, it only gets better from here. 🏔️

The Family Room at our High Alpine Retreat is a space that feels like a deep exhale. After designing so many richly colored rooms throughout the home, the clients wanted this gathering area to embody warmth, nostalgia, and the quiet comfort of an English country home. A place where the palette softens, the pace slows, and everyone naturally drifts toward the same cozy corner.

The fireplace, sourced years ago on a trip to Atlanta, became the soul of the room. Crafted from cast stone and finished with a buff brick herringbone interior, it carries that fine balance of charm and restraint. It’s intentionally understated so it doesn’t compete with the monumental Great Room fireplace just a few rooms over, yet it holds its own with timeless presence. This one is gas-burning, chosen for practicality so the family can enjoy an instant flame without hauling wood down the stairs. Convenience wrapped in old-world character.

And then there are the details that make the room sing: the delicate sconces above the mantel, each with tiny pull chains—an antique quirk we adored, though we went ahead and hardwired them for everyday ease. It’s those little nods to history, paired with modern function, that make this home feel truly lived in.

Now that everything is in place, this room feels exactly as it was meant to: soft, welcoming, and ready for the everyday moments that become family memories.

I keep coming back to two spaces that feel like the heartbeats of the home: the Tea Room and the Dining Room, sisters in the most beautiful shade of rose.

The Dining Room: at its center is a fireplace worthy of its own chapter: a bespoke mantle carved from Carrara marble, accented with Rosso Levanto and Siena Gold inlays that catch the light most unbelievably. Inside, a herringbone buff brick interior waits patiently to cradle a stack of glowing logs.

This house has several fireplaces, each with its own story, but this one of the English Renaissance style, brings warmth, romance, and a subtle old-world formality that feels right at home in a European-inspired mountain retreat.

The Tea Room has always felt like a whispered secret. Tucked away just enough to feel intimate, yet designed to invite slow mornings and quiet rituals. I can still picture the day limestone tiles were hauled in and dry-laid across the floor, each piece cool, weighty, and carrying its own history. We chose Red Earth by , but elevated it to a high-gloss finish so the sunlight can dance along the walls.

Then came the details: an antique Japanese wood lantern, its carved edges worn soft with age, refinished (from tacky bright silver) to a traditional mellow brown. And perhaps my favorite touch, the woven wicker set from Marché aux Puces in Paris, already wrapped in the perfect floral chintz. It’s a little room, but it holds a world of story, craft, and character. I can already imagine the steam rising from teacups, the quiet conversations, the slow exhale at the end of a long day. More to come!
