Thank you to everyone who joined Karim during Deco Days Cluj-Napoca for his talk on Form, Function & Design!

It was a pleasure to share ideas, perspectives, and Karim’s approach to creating a more human, emotional, and optimistic design future.

Unveiled during Deco Days, Karim's monumental TOTEM was created especially for the city of Cluj-Napoca and inspired by the visionary work of Constantin Brâncuși.

Drawing from Brâncuși’s iconic Endless Column, the Totem reinterprets the idea of the vertical monument through a contemporary language of universal symbols. Instead of traditional ornament, the sculpture is composed of his signature "Ikons" - a visual vocabulary representing fundamental human values.

From top to bottom, the TOTEM tells a story:

Pleasure - the joy and inspiration created by art.
Body - our physical and sensory connection to creativity.
Global - design as a universal language beyond borders.
Density - the accumulation of culture, knowledge, and creative energy.
Heal - the restorative and connective power of art.
Digital Craft - technology expanding the possibilities of making.
Divinity - the spiritual dimension that gives creativity meaning.

The collaboration between Karim Rashid and TM Leader Contract continues with KAIROS, Karim’s latest lounge chair designed in 2026.

Organic shapes, generous volume and a strong sense of personality define this expressive new piece. KAIROS combines a wide, inviting seat with enveloping arms and a curved backrest, creating a silhouette designed for comfort.

FUSO, Karim's coffee table designed for Bronzamo in 2026, is a solid bronze table shaped by ever-changing nature that surrounds us.

Karim envisioned the bronze as if it had "flowed downward from the tabletop, transforming organically into its own legs". A softly sculpted surface, open arches, and slender points bring a sense of lightness and movement to this inherently monumental material.

Unveiled at Cersaie 2026, Kallia marks Karim's first collection with Ceramica Simas, bringing a new sense of softness and sensuality to the language of bathroom design.

Designed in 2026, the collection is named after the Greek "kallos" meaning "beauty". Kallia includes a toilet, bidet, and two sink designs, crafted in fine porcelain and shaped through fluid, seamless silhouettes free of sharp edges or visual interruptions.

“Kallia is about bringing emotional softness to an architectural material. I wanted to create a collection that feels gentle and poetic, where porcelain becomes fluid, and beauty is experienced in its most timeless, feminine expression", says Karim.
