Saturday May 30th 2-4pm
$35...for (1) 12" round
Or
$50...for (1) 12" round & (1) 8" round
As an add-on:
$5-15...for a flower on rock
(price varies by base rock size)
Come "get stoned" making a stepping stone from concrete and various natural stones. You can create flowers, leaves and anything your mind can think up with these rocks in concrete. I will also have a limited selection of ceramic leaves, ceramic Mosaic pieces, and glass gems that could be used on the steppers as well. I have also sourced out some colored tumbled glass that makes beautiful flowers as well. As most of you know, I will have a "plethora" of components that you can add to your stepping stones to make them uniquely you.
These Stepping Stones do not have to be embedded in the ground, they can also be displayed using a picture stand, that way it could sit up in your flower bed, deck or garden. I will have stands that you can purchase if you would like, otherwise you could pick them up almost anywhere.
Ideally these Stepping Stones will need to spend a few days at the studio after you have made them. I will unmold them and clean them up for you a day or two after class, and then replace them back into a plastic bag to continue the curing process until you are able to come back and pick it up. Something to make note of, concrete does not dry, it "cures", and concrete needs 28 days for it to cure properly to its true hardness.
You can make up to three Stepping Stones with each class. ☺️☺️☺️
Please if interested, you MUST send a "MESSAGE" to my Art on Clark fb page to reserve your spot. (Please note that commenting "interested, or save me a spot" WILL NOT reserve a spot for you) If you are having troubles finding the message button just look for the Art on Clark logo and touch it, it will take you right to the page with the message button. :)
Art on Clark is located inside the historic Clarkbridge Hall building at 1402 Clark Street in Manitowoc. We are on the first floor in the middle of the building on the east side. The east door will be unlocked and open during class time, the front door is always open. If anyone would need to use the handicap entrance, it is located at the back of the building, and I would just need to know if you plan to use that entrance so I can have it unlocked for you.
I look forward to some creative fun this coming Saturday!!!
