Life has been super busy lately with school, football practices, soccer practices, and gearing up for the fall + holiday season at the store — but yesterday was the just the right amount of running on fumes and having the time of our lives. 🏈🤎

We started the morning with Porter’s team picking up their THIRD win of the season, and Porter scored his FIRST TOUCHDOWN! 🙌 You couldn’t wipe the smile off his face!

Then we headed straight to Happy Valley to cheer on Penn State against Marshall! 💙🤍

Lots of football, lots of cheering, way too much food, and a really great day with the family.

Definitely one of those Saturdays we’ll be talking about for a while. 🏈🍂

I still remember the first time we got the keys to the store.

I had never worked in retail. I had definitely never owned a retail business. I didn’t know how to manage inventory, build displays, run a POS system, or really any of the million little things that go into running a store.

I went into it completely blind. But I had this gut feeling that I couldn’t shake. Something in me just knew I was supposed to do this.

Looking back now, I think there’s something really special about that version of younger me—the one standing in an empty store with a set of keys and absolutely no idea what she was doing, but willing to figure it out anyway.

There have been a lot of lessons since then. A lot of mistakes. A lot of figuring things out as I go. And I’m still figuring things out.

But that little gut feeling?

I’m really glad I listened to it. 🤎
