The Shardy Chronicles: Part 4 — The Great Inventory Excavation

Workshop prep has officially collided with sales-event prep!

It's time to start pulling inventory we've created throughout the year, make sure everything is inventoried and priced, and decide what we're actually taking to our two big September events.

Shardy was doing remarkably well...
Until he found something without a price.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

Today we're celebrating the hardest-working dog on the Sassy Glassers team — Luna, our official CSO (Chief Snack Officer). 💜

She provides moral support, supervises the workshop, and accepts payment exclusively in treats.

Shardy would also like everyone to know that he is participating in National Dog Day, as well.

We explained that he's made of glass.

He put on a bandana, grabbed a squeaky chicken, and has chosen to ignore that information. 😂

Today's mission: make sure we have enough packaging to safely send all those finished workshop projects home AND prepare for our upcoming September sales events.

Boxes? Check.
Bags? Check.
Wrapping supplies? Check.

Shardy has carefully reviewed our inventory and submitted his official recommendation:

“We're gonna need more.”

The Shardy Chronicles: Part 2 — The Finishing Kit Assembly Line

Shardy has learned an important lesson today:

Apparently, making glass kits also requires making... kits for the kits.

Copper restrip hooks have to be made. Chain has to be cut. Jump rings added. Then everything gets tucked into little baggies for each project.

Shardy has taken over Quality Control again.

He's currently inspecting a jump ring like the fate of Sassy Glassers depends on it.

Wait... we make THESE too?!

Yes, Shardy. Yes, we do.

The Shardy Chronicles: Part 1 — The Glass Cutting Department

Prep Season has officially begun! KT is busy cutting ALLLLL the glass for our September workshop kits.

Naturally, Shardy has appointed himself Head of Quality Control.

We became a little suspicious when the “approved” pieces started disappearing into a pile next to him...

Apparently, they require further inspection.

Sure they do, Shardy. Sure they do. 🙄

And this is only the beginning...

HE’S BAAAAACK. 💜

Back by popular demand, a new season of The Shardy Chronicles is coming!

The next few weeks are going to be BUSY behind the scenes at Sassy Glassers. We’re prepping glass kits for upcoming workshops AND getting ready for two big two-day sales events in September.

There’s glass to cut, grind and clean, kits to assemble, inventory to pull, pricing to finish, displays to plan, supplies to stock and approximately 847 other things KT & Juli will remember along the way.

Naturally, Shardy has decided his supervision will be essential.

We have a feeling this is going to go well. 😏

Another beautiful Mosaic Moments night in Marathon! 💜✨

Three lovely ladies joined us at the Sassy Glassers workshop tonight and created some absolutely gorgeous mosaics!

We love how this workshop lets everyone put their own spin on their project — choosing their colors, playing with different pieces of glass, and watching their design come together one little shard at a time. 🥰

Thank you, ladies, for spending your evening creating with us! We loved having you and can't wait to see where your creativity takes you next.
