Mrs Joan made this precious lap quilt from a customers scraps from her mother/grandmother! She dug ever little piece out of a huge tub of things and it turned out so adorable! Wish I had a better straight-on pic, but we had our tables loaded down with other things at the moment. I’ll do a better one later, but I was too excited not to share! Mrs Joan even shared her vision for quilting with me and picked this design out herself! It turned out beautiful! If you have those old quilt tops your mother or grandmother made but I quilted, we can make yours just as beautiful! Mrs Joan pieced this all together, but we can do it from any phase you wish! Bring them on in!

Another beautiful tshirt/clothing quilt made from her husband’s clothes! This is shirts, pants, even a pair of pajamas! I cannot imagine living without my husband, but I pray she feels a gentle hug from him each time she touches it! It turned out so pretty! I really enjoyed making it for her. I LOVE the quilting on it too!! I hope she is thrilled when she sees it!

Ironing is VERY important! It has EVERYTHING to do with how accurate the project turns out! So, if you ever wonder what the inside of your quilt from MelodyHillQuilts looks like, this is it! This is a tshirt quilt, thus the open seams. Keeps them from being so bumpy and thick! We care about the details here at Melody Hill Quilts…. Even the ones you can’t see🤍

A quilt begun by grandma, years ago, is now going to be in the arms of the little girl she meant it for; except she’s a grown young lady now! What a special gift for her Mom to have finished for her daughter! The grandma started the cross stitching before she was called home…. Now, it’s a complete gift for her granddaughter! It turned out beautiful!
Mrs Joan squared each cross stitch panel, added the sashing, and I quilted it with ribboning, as per the wishes of the mom (to match the ribbons on the bouquets in the panels). It turned out so lovely and so special! We are grateful Mom allowed us to have a part in this beautiful, sentimental gift!

From Grandma, who’s already gone to Heaven, her handiwork reaches from beyond the grave, to her granddaughter! Hours spent with a needle and thread, now reaching to it’s rightful place. Those same little arms that once wrapped around Grandma, now are a grown young lady’s arms, and can wrap around the quilt meant for her. Merry Christmas sweet girl! 💙🤍💙
