What a beautiful day at the Mother’s Day Market! Our hearts are absolutely full after seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new neighbors.
We wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who stopped by. Whether you were browsing the tents, grabbing a gift, or just sharing a smile, you made the event truly special.

It’s been a whirlwind these past few days.😮‍💨

When the days get heavy and the stress starts to pile up, sometimes you just need a moment to hit the reset button. For us, that moment starts with a match. 🕯️✨

For Stephanie—One light, and suddenly the noise of this busy week fades away, replaced by the memory of a quiet porch, a summer storm, and a much-needed deep breath. It’s amazing how a scent can take you somewhere peaceful when you can’t physically get away.

Today was one of those days that didn’t feel real.

We’ve officially moved out of Painted Tree. What started as a normal day quickly turned into chaos—vendors rushing in, scrambling to grab their inventory, trying to make sense of what was happening. There was confusion, stress, and a lot of unanswered questions.

This isn’t like big chain stores packing up and moving on—these are small businesses, real people, and personal dreams. It hits different for every single vendor because each space represents someone’s time, money, and heart.

The store ended up closing early, with word that they “hope to reopen tomorrow to pack up the rest if the landlord allows it.” That uncertainty hung heavy in the air as everyone packed up pieces of their hard work.

It’s heartbreaking to see something we all poured so much into come to such an abrupt pause. Grateful for the support, the community, and everyone who showed up—not just today, but throughout this journey.

For now, we regroup, we figure things out, and we keep going. 💛 What can we do? Support local. PLEASE: if you know of a vendor who was in the painted tree, drop the link to their page so we can support them— and yes, it can be a different candle company link. No hard feelings🤍

We have some important news to share with our community.

As of today, all Painted Tree locations are being shut down. This came as a surprise to us, as we were only made aware of it today. Unfortunately, we’ve also learned that they have filed for bankruptcy and vendors were given just 10 days to move out. We are heartbroken by how quickly this has all unfolded.

While this is incredibly disappointing for us, our hearts also go out to all of the other vendors and the workers that are affected. We know so many small businesses are impacted by this, along with a lot of workers who were sent home today on short notice and we truly hope Painted Tree does the right thing for the vendors and the workers during this difficult time.

We appreciate all the support, creativity, and love you’ve shared with us through this.

While this chapter is coming to a close, you can still shop with us online and at vendor events! We’d love your continued support as we move forward and explore what’s next.
