It’s with a heavy heart I announce The Cellar On Delano has closed. As many of you know, my father, Peter Borsari, passed on February 24th at home. My dad and I started the little business, The Cellar On Delano, 6 years ago, named after his cellar workshop on Delano Road in Marion. My father was a true craftsman. Whether it be his beautiful wooden whales & fish, handmade cribbage boards, refinishing a piece of furniture, or caning antique chairs, he gave every piece his whole heart. My dad could figure out anything and I loved giving him ideas and seeing what he came up with. He spent many weekends during the summer at The Huttleston Marketplace, talking with people while doing caning demonstrations. People would stop by each week to say hi to Pete and see what he was working on. He took great care in every chair he worked on and he loved the idea of giving old forgotten chairs new life for a new generation. I will always cherish those special times with him.
We are in the process of contacting people who have chairs he was working on so we can arrange a time for you to pick them up. Please be patient with us. I will be in touch with you over the coming weeks.
Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out with kind words about my Dad. He was a special guy with an unforgettable, warm smile. He will be forever loved and greatly missed. ♥️
