Offered here is Nirvana frontman, and founding father of grunge, Kurt Cobain’s PERSONALLY OWNED, WORN, and PHOTO-MATCHED blue and white paisley flannel shirt, straight from the collection of a Geffen Records employee. This shirt comes with a certificate of authenticity along with a letter of provenance from a Geffen Records employee on Geffen letterhead that reads in part, “the ‘Kurt Shirt’ from 1992 found in the very offices this stationery paper came from...” and a photo of a young Kurt. Without question one of the coolest pieces I’ve ever had.

Kurt Cobain was the guitarist, lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the rock band Nirvana. He was heralded as a spokesman of Generation X and is considered one of the most influential musicians in the history of alternative rock. Kurt Cobain was posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl, in their first year of eligibility in 2014. Rolling Stone included Cobain in its lists of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time, 100 Greatest Guitarists, and 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.

SCARLET PAGE is a renowned music photographer and the daughter of Led Zeppelin lead guitarist, Jimmy Page. Following a post-college apprenticeship with noted photographer Ross Halfin, Page was commissioned to photograph singer Chris Cornell for rock music publication Raw in 1993. Developing a documentary-style narrative, Page was adept to experiment within live portraiture of The Smashing Pumpkins and Beastie Boys during the 1994 Lollapalooza tour. Page’s first major album shoot came in 1995 with the commissioning of the critically acclaimed The Verve release, “A Northern Soul.” Since then, Page’s work has been featured in music publications Q, Kerrang!, Blender, and Spin.

Page was appointed official photographer for UK band The Darkness in 2004. Other artists Page has credits with include the Foo Fighters, The Black Crowes, The Rolling Stones, Stereophonics, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Placebo, Gomez, and Robbie Williams, amongst others.

In September 2007, Page held an exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall, “Your Child,” featuring the lives of celebrities and their children. She also contributed to the “Visions of Dylan” photographic exhibition in October 2007 in London. MTV also hired her to chronicle the UK music scene throughout May 2008.
