When McGregors Furniture opened its doors in 1896, no one could have imagined everything the world—and our little corner of Iowa—would go through.

We’ve lived through two World Wars, the Great Depression, pandemics, countless economic challenges, the invention of the automobile and television, the moon landing, 9/11, and a world that has changed in ways our founders could never have imagined.

Through all of it, one thing has remained:

Our customers.

Generations of families have walked through our doors. You’ve bought your first sofa from us, furnished your first home, replaced the mattress you grew up sleeping on, gathered around dining tables purchased here, and eventually brought your children and grandchildren through those same doors.

That’s what makes us proud.
