Hello! You're here because you're either a local maker/crafter that sells great handmade stuff or you're a shopper/business who wants to buy local handcrafted goods and support local artisans. Either way, welcome to your local buy/sell/shop for local handmade goods group. ❤

OUR MAKERS are part of an inclusive community of diverse skilled artisans who live in and/or sell items in businesses located in Martinez, CA or the immediate surrounding areas like Pleasant Hill, Concord, Walnut Creek.

The purpose of this group is to connect local shoppers to local skilled artisans. Admins keep watch on both makers and buyers and will remove anyone causing shenanigans that take our time away from creating. Be kind, courteous and work it out amongst yourselves outside of the group.

We ask that you support the maker community as a whole and purchase what appeals to you. Scroll past what doesn't. We believe and encourage love, inclusion and individual expression here. Move right along if something is not your style. No negative or hateful comments tolerated. Period. We'll do our part in not allowing products that support those agendas either.

Our makers range from part-time crafters to full-fledged small businesses. Items may be listed for sale and pick up on someone's porch or you could be directed to their professional business website. Either way, you are ultimately shopping and supporting local to Martinez, CA area crafters.

Buyers must be willing to purchase and pickup from the location listed on the item post and pay as listed on the post. If the seller only accepts payment through their website, then pay via their website. If the seller vends their item at a local business, go there to purchase it. (BONUS: You'll be supporting two local businesses!) If the seller doesn't have shipping listed, don't give them crap about about not being willing to ship it. Lastly, don't haggle makers on thier pricing. It's so rude. Prices stand as listed and items are sold under the terms the maker describes. Please respect that maker's have prices set at what they feel their items are worth and what sustains them making the product. Buy it or not, but no negative comments, price negotiating or pitting makers against each other for the best price.

Again, the idea is to keep it local with both buyers and sellers, so...

- Yes, post rave reviews or make recommendations about the items or services offered from makers in the group. But, don't bash makers. We will not allow haters, drama mamas, etc. or help you with solving product, pricing, shipping, etc. issues. Ain't nobody got time for that. If someone is being sketchy (like they stole your idea or don't really live in the area) we'll take those PMs.

- Yes, post your ISO's. For example..."Hey is anyone available to make a custom wedding cutting board by this Saturday?" Please do NOT post, "I need the cheapest price for a custom board." That's just rude and doesn't value maker skillset or quality.

- Yes, tag the makers within the group that you know offer that service or product, but please don't post outside maker or product links. That's just missing the point and poaches customers from makers in the group. If you know someone who you think should sell with this group, please send them our way. :)

We hope you find lots of unique handmade items. Thank you for shopping small in the East Bay Area.
