HVAC Installer/Technician Position
Job Position: Lead HVAC Installer/Technician
Location: Martinez, East Bay, and North Bay
Compensation: Based on Experience and Expertise
Mason BPP Inc. is a Martinez based electrification and building performance company specializing in the integrated design and construction of high-performance green buildings, building enclosures, HVAC systems and whole house electrification. We utilize an integrative building science-based approach to enhance the performance, comfort, durability, indoor air quality, and ultimately the efficiency of the building. Our projects are mostly in the East Bay, North bay, and San Francisco. Job Type: Full-time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for performing the removal, installation and start-up of HVAC equipment.
• Install furnaces, duct work, high/low voltage circuits, finish grills, minor dry wall repair etc. on properties.
• Installation knowledge of sheet metal ducts, transitions & plenums
• Should understand the complete installation of HVAC and Sheetmetal on a residential retrofit.
• Install flues, kitchen hoods and refrigerant lines.
• Should know how to install an air conditioner and braze refrigerant lines ensuring no leaks
• Maintain company-issued car; secure and organize tools, maintain equipment inventory, change oil and wash car as necessary.
• Clean workspace in homes after removal or installation is complete.
• Perform all other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• Experience with HVAC retrofit install/ startup required.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license; clear DMV report required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English in both verbal and written formats, bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Should possess basic math and measurement skills
• Should be capable of managing jobsite and helper
• Should possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties.

10. Valid and Clean California Driver’s License
11. Able to lift 70lbs
