Color can change more than the appearance of a room. It can also influence how the space feels.

Warm neutrals and natural wood tones can make a room feel comfortable and inviting, while deeper grays and rich browns can add depth and sophistication.

Lighter window treatments can help maximize brightness, while darker colors create a more dramatic look.

The right choice should complement your décor while also working with the natural light in your room.

As October brings shorter days, having flexible control over natural light becomes even more valuable.

Hunter Douglas Duette® Duolite® Shades combine two fabrics in one shade. A light-filtering or sheer fabric allows soft natural light into the room, while a room-darkening fabric provides additional privacy and light control when you need it.

Transition from daytime light to evening privacy without adding a second window treatment.

October is National Window Covering Safety Month.

When choosing window treatments for a home with young children or pets, the operating system is just as important as the color and style.

Cordless and motorized blinds and shades eliminate exposed operating cords while providing a clean, streamlined look. They are easy to use and available in a wide range of styles for every room in your home.

Visit the Victor Shade showroom to explore window treatments designed with comfort, style, and safety in mind.

September is a great time to give your home a seasonal check before cooler weather arrives. 🍂

While you’re inspecting windows, checking for drafts, and preparing your home for fall, take a closer look at your blinds and shades too. Watch for signs such as:

1️⃣ Blinds or shades that are difficult to operate
2️⃣ Frayed cords, bent slats, or broken components
3️⃣ Faded or discolored fabrics
4️⃣ Light gaps, glare, or limited privacy
5️⃣ A style that no longer fits your space

Some problems may only require a professional repair. If your window treatments are no longer providing the comfort, privacy, or light control you need, it may be time to consider an update.

Our team can help you determine whether repair or replacement is the best choice for your home.

Create a home office that helps you stay comfortable and focused throughout the day.

Natural light can make your workspace feel brighter and more inviting, but direct sunlight can also create glare on your screen, raise the temperature, and make video calls more difficult.

Custom blinds and shades give you more control over your work environment. Adjust them to soften harsh sunlight, add privacy, or enjoy a clearer view outside. With motorized shades, you can control the light with the touch of a button without stepping away from your desk or interrupting a virtual meeting.

The right window treatments can also help your home office feel more polished and connected to the rest of your décor.

We can help you find custom blinds or shades that fit your windows, your style, and the way you work from home.
