Welcome to my woodworking site. I've always had a passive interest in woodworking and thought it would be something I would enjoy... if only I had the time. I dove into woodworking after retiring from the Smucker Company with over 40 years of service. I started with a full kitchenette in my basement winemaking area. I followed that by making a couple snare drums (which I found exceedingly enjoyable). I then got into making a few cutting boards and found that I have a bit of an aptitude and quite a passion for the craft of woodworking.
Why "Red Letter Woodworks?" Anyone who knows me well knows that I have a love for the Lord and try my best to put him first and foremost in my marriage, my parenting, my work life, and in my personal life. I admit fully that I don't always get it right, but my prayer is that the Lord will usher me down the path that He lays before me and that I will have the courage to walk, by faith, as He illuminates my steps.
I have found that God has continued to work on me as I have only scratched the surface of this craft and He has spoken to my heart just as those "Red Letters" of the New Testament spoke truth to all who would have ears to hear Christ speak! My desire is that the work I do as part of Red Letter Woodworks will bring honor and glory to Christ Jesus and that He will use it as a blessing to those He puts within my reach!
