We love when it becomes part of the design, adding both function and personality to a room. We love a room with a little secret…

✨ Tucked just beyond the kitchen, this scullery keeps prep, storage, and everyday essentials close by but out of sight.
✨ Warm wood cabinetry and brass hardware give the hardworking space just as much character as the rooms around it.
✨ Open shelving keeps frequently used pieces within easy reach while leaving room for a few collected details.
✨ A dedicated counter for coffee and morning essentials makes daily routines a little easier and entertaining a lot more seamless.

A truly elevated home isn’t defined by one statement piece.
It’s the thoughtful details working together behind the scenes.

1. Layered lighting - a well designed space needs more than can lighting or a beautiful chandelier. Ambient, task, and accent lighting create warmth, dimension, and atmosphere.

2. Furniture layouts - the right pieces can still feel wrong when the scale and placement aren’t considered. A thoughtful layout should feel effortless, balanced, and intentional.

3. Custom window treatments - often overlooked, but transformative. Properly tailored drapery adds softness, height, privacy, and a finished quality to a room.

4. The right paint color - paint is never just paint.

Creating a welcoming guest space is about thinking through the little things that make someone feel at home.

It’s something we always consider in our client projects, and something we get to share firsthand through our own Airbnb properties in Savannah and on Lake Norman.

Comfortable furnishings, space to unpack, good lighting, and a little extra attention to what a guest might need can completely change their stay.

For us, hospitality is a big part of gracious living. Whether guests are staying for a weekend or settling in for the holidays, we want them to feel cared for and genuinely at home.

This room feels ready for a good drink and even better conversation.

✨ Deep green walls in Sherwin Williams Rosemary SW6187 and trim wrap the room in color and create a warm, intimate atmosphere.
✨ The sculptural light fixture brings something unexpected overhead while adding warmth to the darker palette.
✨ A mix of upholstered and leather seating keeps the room comfortable while giving everyone a place to settle in.
✨ The trunk-style coffee table adds character and gives the room a natural centerpiece for gathering.
