Wild Bunch

The June Product of the Month is my favorite yet! It's a stamp set called the Wild Bunch and it has four cute critters plus five all round great greetings and five little background extras. The Tree Ring Embossing Folder (coming in the July Online Exclusives) was swiped with Crisp Cantaloupe ink before running the Crisp Cantaloupe paper through the Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine to give the grooves even more dimension....

Throwback Thursday

Hello, welcome to the Roost. Today I'm giving a little love to an older stamp set (think 2011) and also an older technique. I really enjoy coloring and I like doing the ink to red rubber technique. Safari Smiles Lions

Today I have a few cards created using the Safari Smiles stamp set. I've been using the Naturals Colored Stampin' Blends for coloring the lions and have been having some fun playing with the colors. For this card I used some of the lighter browns. I didn't keep track of which colors I used. The Base is Calypso Coral with a piece of the Splash of Sparkles Designer Paper on the back....

Here’s the proof that I dusted all the wood work in my house except the kitchen (that’s a job all in itself). First time since December when we left for Florida. I HATE dusting! But, it was too wet to work in the garden and I didn’t feel inspired to create cards. I did say a little prayer asking my mom to forgive me for letting it go this long, lol. I always think of her when I’m cleaning, because that lady had the cleanest house I ever saw. There should be a good chance of rain, several spiders got caught in my rag. One of the reasons I hate dusting is because I’m somewhat clumsy and I have a lot of knickknacks, yes Kathy Welch, I admit it. Only one angel lost her head today and it appeared to have been glued on before, so not too bad. What is your least liked cleaning chore? Anyone else hate dusting?

Relaxing Waterside Birthday Card

Today's card starts with a background panel from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper pack and has some elements added which are created with the Relaxing Waterside Bundle. The chair, book, coffee mug, and grass were stamped on the light design from the Woodgrain Wonders Designer Series Paper pack with Crumb Cake ink. They were colored with watercolor pencils. I wanted the chair to look old and weathered so I first crumpled it in my hand and then flattened it out....
