My lights are heading out from Texas to destinations all across the country over the next couple of weeks.

Fun fact: If I drove from Dallas to each of those locations- one way, it would add up to just over 17,000 miles. That’s roughly two-thirds of the way around the Earth! 🌎

Introducing my newest handmade chandelier!

This one-of-a-kind fixture is crafted from three genuine wh***ey barrel staves arranged in a striking, sculptural design. The Edison-style bulbs create a warm, inviting glow, making it a beautiful centerpiece for a dining room, kitchen, loft, bar, or great room.

Just picked up four more retired wh***ey barrels, and now the fun begins.

Over the next few weeks these barrels will be transformed into handcrafted chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, and lamps right here in my Texas workshop. Every barrel has its own character, which means every light ends up one of a kind.

Time to break them down and see what treasures are hiding inside the staves. Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing the process and some of the new designs as they come together.

Well… I suppose it’s about time I introduced myself!
I’m the guy behind Lumens And Lamps.
Despite what some might think, I’m not retired… I’m just lucky enough to spend my days building things instead of sitting in meetings.
Most mornings you’ll find me in the workshop with a coffee (or occasionally a wh***ey at the end of the day), surrounded by reclaimed wh***ey barrels, tools, sawdust, and whatever ideas decided to pop into my head overnight.
I believe handmade should actually mean handmade.I design and build every light myself, photograph it, answer your messages, pack the orders, and somehow still find time to dream up the next project.
To everyone who’s purchased one of my lights, shared a photo, left a review, or simply follows along… thank you. You’re the reason I get to spend my days designing and creating.

Today was one of those days that reminds me how far a small workshop can reach.

I completed a couple of my handcrafted creations and sent them coast to coast- from Vermont all the way to Southern California. It’s amazing to think that my designs crafted right here in my Texas workshop are lighting homes across the country.
