If I had $10,000 to update a home, I wouldn't spend it where most people think.
I wouldn't start with trendy decor or filling every shelf. Instead, I'd invest in the pieces that have the biggest impact on how a home functions and feels every day.
✨ Quality lighting
✨ A comfortable, well-made sofa
✨ Timeless pieces that will last for years
✨ Window treatments that add warmth and character

Where would I save?
- Decorative accessories
- Trend-driven items
- Accent decor that can easily be changed later

One thing I've learned through years of design is that beautiful homes aren't created by spending the most money, they're created by spending intentionally.
Some of the most meaningful spaces include a mix of investment pieces, family heirlooms, vintage finds, and items that tell a story.
If you had $10,000 to invest in your home tomorrow, what would be your first priority? 👇

Behind every design decision is something much bigger than paint colors and furniture.
I believe our homes should support the lives we're building inside them. The quiet mornings, the family dinners, the celebrations, the ordinary moments that become memories.
That's why I love what I do. Design isn't just about creating beautiful spaces, it's about creating places where life unfolds.
And for me, that perspective started at home. 🤍

Every beautiful transformation starts with a conversation.
A design consultation isn't about having all the answers, it's about discovering what's possible for your home. We'll walk through your space, discuss your goals, identify challenges, and begin creating a vision that reflects the way you truly live.
Whether you're considering a full renovation, refreshing a room, or simply feeling stuck on where to begin, a consultation is often the first step toward creating a home that feels more functional, inspiring, and uniquely yours.
Sometimes all it takes is a fresh perspective to see your home in a whole new way. ✨

The things that I love most about my job.... ✨

1. I love helping people make their space functional, and beautiful.

2. I love restoring things - whether it’s relationships, furniture, or rooms... it's always been a passion of mine.

3. The people that I meet and serve become my friends.

4. I enjoy managing a team of subcontractors and seeing all the pieces come together.

5. The best thing is when a client is over the top happy when it’s better than they expected! That’s what I’m shooting for. 💖

Texture is what makes a house feel like home… not the sofa, not the paint color, but the things you feel.
The hand of a linen curtain. The slight unevenness of custom tile that catches light differently every hour. A plaster wall that holds warmth long after the sun's gone.
These aren't finishing touches. They're the quiet moments that make you exhale when you walk through the door.
The mission behind Ashes to Beauty is not to chase "perfection”, but rather chasing “held”. The kind of space that greets your bare feet at 7am, that wraps around slow mornings, that remembers what comfort feels like.
Beauty isn't just what you see. It's what you touch, what you notice, what settles your shoulders without you even realizing. 💛

Becoming a mom changed the way I see home completely.
Before children, I mostly thought about how a space looked. Now, I think about how it feels.
Home became the backdrop for slow mornings, bedtime routines, kitchen conversations, movie nights on the couch, little feet running through the hallways, and all the ordinary moments that somehow become the most meaningful ones.
Raising my children has taught me that the spaces we live in truly shape us. A home doesn’t need to be perfect, but it should feel inspiring, peaceful, welcoming, and reflective of the people living inside it.
I think that’s why I care so deeply about design now.Not just because beautiful spaces matter but because the feeling a home gives you matters even more.
The goal was never perfection, it was creating a home we genuinely love living life in. 🤍

Some homes feel beautifully decorated.
Others feel deeply collected, like they’ve been layered over time with pieces that actually mean something.
A collected home isn’t about perfection or buying everything all at once. It’s the mix of old and new. The worn books. The vintage piece with a story. The textures, memories, imperfect finds, and meaningful details that make a space feel personal instead of staged.
The best homes rarely feel rushed.
They evolve slowly, intentionally, and naturally alongside the people living in them.

I think that’s what makes a home feel warm the moment you walk in, not because everything matches, but because it feels honest. 🤍

There are so many things I’d do differently now after years of designing, renovating, styling, and learning through trial and error.
The funny thing is… some of the best lessons don’t come from perfect projects. They come from the moments you realize a space looked beautiful but didn’t actually function well for your life. Homes should feel personal, comfortable, thoughtful, and lived in.
And sometimes the best design choice is simply slowing down before making the next decision.
Which one do you relate to most?
