This Pease drying rack has all the character we love in an antique, weathered wood, aged metal, old painted surfaces, and the kind of patina that simply cannot be reproduced.
Originally designed as a practical drying rack, today it makes an absolutely beautiful way to display bundles of herbs, dried flowers, lavender, hydrangeas, or seasonal botanicals.
And those graceful old legs ending in casters and unusual construction make it interesting even when nothing is hanging from it.
Primitive. Useful. Beautifully imperfect.
A wonderful piece for a farmhouse kitchen, garden room, potting shed, antique collection or for anyone who believes old utilitarian objects make some of the very best décor.

Now this is a piece of Oregon history. 🌹
This striking vintage plaque dates to the 1937 Portland Rose Festival and was presented to The Cherrians and the City of Salem, Oregon, in appreciation of their participation in the festival.
The artwork is wonderful a dramatic Portland skyline rising through the clouds, a large rose, Bonneville Dam, water and landscape, all rendered in beautiful shades of blue, cream, black and red.
What makes this piece especially intriguing is that it appears to have been created as a specific presentation or commemorative piece, rather than simply as a mass-produced souvenir. I have not found another exactly like it, and I believe it may possibly be one of a kind.
The plaque measures approximately 15 x 7 inches and shows the wonderful age and wear you would hope to see on an original piece from 1937.
Nearly 90 years old, and still telling the story of one of Oregon's most beloved traditions.
For the collector of Oregon history, Portland memorabilia, Rose Festival pieces, Salem history, or unusual advertising and ephemera, this is a special one.
A little piece of Oregon history that may never turn up again.

This is something special....
A Rare Piece of 19th-Century European History for Your Home
Every once in a while, an antiquity surfaces that tells a profound story. This breathtaking 19th-Century Arma Christi Standing Altar Crucifix is one of those rare finds.
Known historically as the "Weapons of Christ," this highly detailed brass crucifix does not feature traditional armor. Instead, it is masterfully cast with the Instruments of the Passion—sacred symbols telling the full story of the crucifixion in a single, magnificent mold.
Look closely and you will discover the intricate narrative detailing:
The Rooster of St. Peter's denial
The Roman soldiers' seamless robe & dice
The Gethsemane lantern, flagellation pillar, and crossed lances
The Skull of Adam resting at the rocky base of Golgotha

Heavy, beautifully patinated, and completely intact, it makes an unforgettable centerpiece for a private home altar, a historical library, or an antiquity collection.
