Custom Designed Stone Column Water Features At Igneous Rock Gallery we create exquisite custom designed natural stone fountains.

Our unique rock fountain sculptures are crafted from an ancient and rare columnar shaped and vibrantly colored lava rock that is found in just one location on the planet. Each grouping holds interest as artistic sculpture before the water and lighting is added. The result is an aesthetically beautiful and scientifically fascinating conversation piece.

Clients become friends, Tim and Maude, bought a fountain way back in the early years of Igneous Rock Gallery Stone Fountains. They chose to run their fountain year-round and did so for many years on end. Eventually the natural stone succumbed to the elements and were rendered unusable, except for two of them.

The columns on the left and center were salvaged from their retired fountain and repurposed for this copper bowll mounted indoor fountain. The skinny column on the right was drilled by Tim, who made a day of it with Maude, his wife. They treated us to dinner at Thea before heading home. Fulfilling experience. Thanks to Tim and Maude (who do not do Facebook).

After mentioning recently that I would soon post a video on how to drill Beaver Canyon andesite, it occurred to me that I already had! This was shot out at our shop in Washington State which we rent from an old rancher named Steve. Since then I bought this table from Billy and it is now in my shop in Pennsylvania. Billy is a good teacher and a wise friend.
