Reveal day for this airy dining room!

Our client's ask was for a textured, neutral space that felt cohesive with the other rooms on the first floor and featured black accents and small pops of color. We also wanted to give the dining room more presence. We thought wallpaper would be a great way to do so while also adding additional interest.

The updated chandelier, layered window treatments, and flatweave rug bring texture and warmth to the room. The wood dining table still has a chunky, rugged vibe but with dimensions that better fit the size of the room. A modern sideboard offers plenty of space for storage and serving. The art and subtle green chairs bring in the pop of color we were looking for.

The result is a laid back, but elevated space just waiting to host friends for dinner!

On Friday Kimberly and I inspired young minds 😜 at Career Day at Landisville Primary Center. It was a really fun (and tiring!) day. We brought wallpaper, fabric, and paint samples for the kids to explore and shared with them how we use art, math, and language arts skills every day in our job.

They really liked seeing before and after photos of some of the kid spaces we have created. They bounced around the little lounge we created at our booth and had too much fun stretching and retracting with the tape measures we brought! (We were thankful that two nurses were in the booth next to us 🤣). And they asked great questions. The most asked question?

"What do you like most about your job?" Our answer was working together, being creative and helping people feel happier in their homes💛.

All in all, it was great to get out of our typical routine and do something different for the day! -S

We are in the middle of planning a project unlike any project we have done before....a table at an elementary school Career Day! 📝👩‍🏫 It should be a lot of fun. 😄

Since we have kids on our brains, seemed like good time to share a recent kid's room project. This one is special because it was a Kick-start, which means we provided a design plan, source list, and how-to guide, and our clients put in the sweat equity to bring it to life!

They kept some core furniture like the bed and egg chair and pretty much everything else received an update!

Our young client (and her parents!) just loved how it turned out. Wallpaper, disco balls, Taylor Swift... what's not to love?! 🩷💜
