The Workshop The Workshop in Medina,TX produces dining room tables, kitchen tables, coffee tables, occasional tab Complete showroom on site.

The Workshop is a production facility for natural wood slabs and custom furniture using responsibly harvested local Texas wood. Cypress, Mesquite slabs available as well as finished furniture.

When customers find out you can make nearly anything, they once in a while ACTUALLY ask you to make something you have never heard of but turns out to be a very integral part of THEIR rather unique business.
Camels. Really? There is sometime who has a fleet of camels and rents them to special event, movies, etc. Yep!
And camels need saddles- these wooden parts are the main supports for traditional pack and people saddles.
So, we just completed a first for The Workshop: a batch of saddle supports for our happy customer and his “ships of the desert.”

Camel Saddles. Hmmm I’ll look up a photo of a complete saddle so you can see where they fit.

It’s always a good day when we have orders for custom fireplace mantels.
One cypress and two mesquite pieces have been cut to the requested size, shaped and sanded, and are awaiting their continued beauty treatment in the spray room. Each will receive a clear coating of dull/satin lacquer to bring out their natural colors!
