Frida’s June Plant Club is here!

🪴 Bonsai Edition 🪴

This month, Plant Club members will receive a beautiful bonsai complete with a ceramic pot, with your choice of either a Ginseng Ficus or a Juniper Bonsai.

✨ Ginseng Ficus Bonsai: Known for its thick, sculptural roots and glossy green leaves, this bonsai symbolizes harmony, abundance, and resilience. Easy to care for and perfect for beginners.

🌲 Juniper Bonsai: A timeless favorite admired for its graceful shape and evergreen foliage. Junipers represent strength, protection, and longevity, making them a classic addition to any collection.

Fun fact: Bonsai isn’t a specific type of plant, it’s the centuries-old art of cultivating and shaping trees in miniature form to reflect the beauty of nature.

🌞 Light: Bright light; several hours of indirect light daily (Junipers also appreciate outdoor sun)
💦 Water: Water thoroughly when the soil begins to dry; avoid letting bonsai sit in standing water
💨 Humidity: Average household humidity is suitable
🐶🐱 Pets: Ginseng Ficus and Juniper can be toxic to pets if ingested

Philodendron ‘Green Congo Nuclear’ Variegated : A bold tropical beauty known for its massive glossy leaves and vibrant lime-green new growth that almost glows. Self-heading, rare variegated beauty is easy to care for!

Native to tropical regions of South America, the Nuclear Congo is loved for its dramatic foliage, easy care nature, and lush full growth habit.

Fun fact: New leaves emerge in a bright neon green color before deepening into rich glossy green as they mature, giving this plant its “nuclear” look. 💫

🌞 Light: Bright indirect light
💦 Water: Allow top soil to lightly dry between waterings
💨 Humidity: Loves average to higher humidity

Mother’s Day weekend is almost here and Frida’s is fully restocked with some of our favorite tropicals, statement plants, rare finds, fresh pottery, and giftable greenery just in time to celebrate the moms, plant lovers, grandmas, friends, and mother figures in your life.

The shop is packed wall to wall! 3 total restocks this week!

This weekend we’ll also have Frida’s Botanica - Our fresh cut foliage bar stocked and ready for you to build your own custom botanical bouquet filled with beautiful tropical foliage and fresh cut greenery. Skip the flowers-go full green 🪴

Join us this Friday, May 1st for a Mother’s Day–themed creative night where you’ll craft a stunning moss art piece, perfect as a meaningful gift or a forever keepsake.

Frizzle Sizzle $25

Fun facts about the Frizzle Sizzle plant (Albuca spiralis):

• Where it’s from: Native to South Africa, where it grows in dry regions with winter rain and sunny conditions.

• Why it curls: Its spiraled leaves help reduce surface area exposed to harsh sun, which can help limit water loss. More sunlight usually = tighter curls.

• It grows backwards from most houseplants: It’s active in cooler months and often goes dormant in summer heat.

• It blooms too: Mature plants send up flower stalks with yellow flowers that smell sweet—some say like vanilla.

• It stores water: The bulb acts like a reservoir, helping it survive drought.

Plus, with this finally nice weather, we’ve got a ton of Lipstick Plants and Goldfish Plants ready for your outdoor spaces!
