I enjoyed a drink at Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar in New Orleans 29 years ago. Back then - in my silly twenties - I wouldn’t have minded having to wipe off my own table, but I’m older now and don’t have time for that. Jean Lafitte Carpool Cat was appalled, so we left and found something a bit more refined at The Apothecary. Cheers, and meow-aarrgg!
