We are excited to be celebrating 30 YEARS this year - thirty years of friendships, of seeing communities and the organizations that support them grow and thrive, of partnerships with our clients whom we have been honored to travel alongside on this creative journey.

From the very beginning we have sought to elevate human experiences through the design process. Three decades later and this is as central to our core values as it was from the very first day we opened our doors. Thank you to all of those who have been a part of archimania’s story. We are honored to have Memphis Merit Academy recognized by Architizer’s A+Awards in the category of Architecture +Adaptive Reuse - Special Mention.

Memphis Merit Academy, a local charter school, transformed a blighted grocery store in an abandoned shopping center to accommodate a growing student body and better meet the diverse needs of students, their families, and the surrounding community. The site, purchased by the school from an absentee landowner, fulfilled the school’s vision of revitalizing the deteriorating property at the heart of their community. Memphis Merit has become a catalyst for growth and a hub for community resiliency, elevating the educational experience for each child.

The Architizer A+Awards is the largest awards program focused on promoting and celebrating the year’s best architecture from around the world. Its mission is to nurture the appreciation of meaningful design and champion its potential for a positive impact on everyday life. Of the thousands of projects submitted, less than 5% globally were chosen as a Special Mention honoree.

We are humbled by the recognition and are deeply appreciative of the Memphis Merit leadership team for choosing us as their design partner.

We are excited to announce this year’s recipient of archimania’s 2024 Community Reinvestment Grant…Black Seeds!

is a grassroots non-profit organization deeply committed to fostering community resilience and sustainability through urban agriculture initiatives in Memphis, Tennessee.

With a mission to empower and encourage communities by sowing seeds of food, health, and wellness, Black Seeds year-round programming addresses food insecurity, promotes environmental stewardship, and empowers residents in the Greenlaw/Uptown community and Memphis at large.

The Grant will provide start-up funds and design support to begin the reimagining of the Farm’s front porch to the community, while honoring the historic site and neighborhood in which it serves.

We are excited to share an update on The Front Porch!

Imagined as a place of respite, The Front Porch will serve as a center of hospitality with intentional programming and activities to offer ways for people of all ages, faiths, and experiences to gather, grow and strengthen our community. Situated on a portion of Second Baptist Church’s 16-acre woodland campus, the 7,200 square foot glass building is set to open Fall 2025.
