“Playing with flowers all day” comes with a surprisingly long job description 😂

Behind every beautiful arrangement are emails, proposals, stem counts, supply runs, content creation, buckets to scrub… and me, wondering where I put my scissors again.

Add being a wife, mom, and working a full-time job, and some days I’m changing hats by the hour.

Fellow florists and small business owners—what title did I miss? 👇

Deep burgundy, soft blush, and buttery golden blooms—a little moody, a little whimsical, and so romantic 🥀✨

Loved creating florals that felt right at home in this garden setting, with rich color and delicate textures woven into every detail.

When we’re young, everyone asks us the same question:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

As if we’re supposed to choose one thing and somehow know exactly who we’ll become.

I definitely didn’t.

I’ve been a graphic design student.
I’ve studied accounting and finance.
I’ve built a cake business.
I’ve worked a corporate job.
I’ve explored interior and event design.
And somewhere along the way, I found flowers.

For a long time, I think I looked at all those different chapters as me trying to figure out what I was supposed to be.

Now I see them differently.

Every version of me taught the next one something.

Design taught me how to see.
Cakes taught me how to create with my hands.
Accounting taught me how to think like a business owner.
Events taught me about spaces and experiences.
And flowers gave me a new medium for all of it.

Maybe we put too much pressure on ourselves to find the one thing we’re meant to do.

Maybe there isn’t one.

I’m still ambitious.
Still curious.
Still creative.
Still learning.
Still changing my mind.
Still discovering things I want to try.

And I actually hope that never stops.

I don’t know exactly what my life will look like 5, 10, or 20 years from now.

But I know how I want it to feel.

I want to create beautiful things.
I want to build something of my own.
I want time for the people I love.
I want to experience more of the world.
I want freedom.
I want peace.
I want to keep learning.
And I want to keep giving myself permission to evolve.

So maybe the question isn’t:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Maybe it’s:

“What kind of life do you want to create?”

And I think I’m still creating mine ❤️

Sometimes you just have to create for the sake of creating 🌿

I had some extra bear grass + yarrow from an event and decided to play around with this sculptural floral trend I’ve been loving lately. No plan, no client brief, no rules—just letting the materials lead the way.

And apparently, I wasn’t the only one inspired by the bear grass… 🐈😂
