We made it to Friday! 😄

I am happy to report that my granddaughter’s volleyball team won their game last night and are on their way to Round 4 of the playoffs! Their school has never gone this far before so it’s a big deal! Yay! 🎉

Hubby and I are off to Dallas today to see my daughter, grands, my twin, and her family! I’m excited but I hate the 8 hour drive. Oh well! We will make the best of it!

I hope everyone has a great Friday! I’m praying the hurricane isn’t as bad as they say and I’m praying for everyone in its path. I’m praying everything will be good with our house tonight while we’re in Dallas. ♥️🙏🏻

Happy Thursday! 🤗

We are leaving in the morning for Dallas so we will be busy prepping for the unwelcome visit from Hurricane Isaias while we’re gone! Ugh! Praying it’s not bad and praying for everyone who is in its path.

I’ll be packing, doing hurricane preparedness things, tutoring, and watching my granddaughter play volleyball tonight. Her team is in the third round of the playoffs! Yay! 😀

Hello, Wednesday! 🤗

I love Wednesdays because I don’t tutor and they are usually slower days. We are going to Dallas on Friday, so I’ll be washing clothes today and starting to pack for our trip!

Speaking of that trip….I’m going to see my sister—we are identical twins! Funny story….my youngest, Maloree, did the Ancestry thing. She recently got a notification from Ancestry that said that she had a half brother! She was like….WHAT???? Then when she looked, it named my sister’s son who had also done Ancestry. So my twin’s children and my children aren’t just first cousins! Genetically, they are half siblings! CRAZY!!! So that was fun.

Hello, Tuesday! 🤗

Today I’m sharing our guest room, all dressed for fall! 🍂

When we first moved into our home, I used pieces I already had, and over time, this room has evolved into a little ode to the 20 years we spent living in Texas. 🤠♥️

I’ve also added lots of old family photos throughout the room, and those are some of my very favorite things. They bring so many wonderful memories to this space, and I truly cherish each one.

I love how this room has become a collection of things that tell our story while still feeling cozy and welcoming for our guests.

Happy new week, sweet friends! 🤗

We got a good soaking rain yesterday and it was wonderful! My grass, flowers, and shrubs are all happy.

It’s the beginning of Homecoming week for my grands here. Tonight is the kickoff of a bunch of stuff happening. They have a glow in the dark pep rally tonight. It’s really fun because the cheerleaders are all decked out in glow in the dark neon colors and the pep rally is done in the dark. I’m looking forward to going to that tonight! 😄

My daughter’s house will be rolled with toilet paper probably every day. That’s a homecoming tradition here! 😂 Thank goodness they don’t have any tall trees in their yard! Good times! 🤣

Happy Sunday! It’s a rainy one here and I’m loving it. A rainy, peaceful day sounds amazing to me!

My grandson has a baseball tournament today but it’s not looking good that it will be played. We’ll see!

I’ll be piddlin, cleaning up a little, watching football, and cross-stitching. I’m ready for a chill day.

I’m up early to hit the road to Tupelo, Mississippi to go see my son and grandkids! They got a new maltipoo puppy and I can’t wait to get that little darling in my arms! It’s sooooo cute. ❣️

I hope it doesn’t rain so we can go to a pumpkin patch. I go with them every year so I’m really looking forward to that! 🥰

I just have to show off these beautiful new curtains from JINCHAN_curtain! The colors and floral pattern are absolutely gorgeous, and I love how perfectly they complement my fall decor in our bedroom. The best part is that they’re versatile enough to look just as lovely in other seasons too! A beautiful addition to or cozy little bedroom!

I hope October is off to a great start for you. It’s my favorite month and I’m soaking in every wonderful moment!

Happy Thursday! I stayed up till after 1:00 in the morning talking with my friends who spent the night last night! I haven’t stayed up that late in a long time. And of course I still woke up early! I always wake up with the sun. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Happy Wednesday! It’s the last day of September! Gosh, September flew by.

We are having guests come spend the night tonight at our house! My dear friend who I worked with in Texas retired eight months ago and moved to Savannah, GA. Her daughter and sister are road tripping from Dallas to Savannah, and my house is exactly half way. So they are stopping here on their way! They are so fun so I can’t wait to see them. ♥️🚙
