Watch Auction the Patek Philippe Ref. 5711/1A-018
Tiffany Blue Nautilus was sold to an online bidder from
New York. Note the buyer may pay more than the gavel
price of US$5.35 million due to buyer's fees.
This watch is limited to 170 units to celebrate the 170-
year brand relationship with Tiffany & Co and Patek
Philippe. Since this Nautilus will be so hard to obtain
this auction sets a precedent for how much these
watches could fetch in the secondary market.

Inside the residences of Karl Lagerfeld.
Despite his position as a hyper-media personality,
Lagerfeld always remained enigmatic. Today, Sotheby's
unveiled the 650 lots of Lagerfeld's private collection,
and a first look at the interiors of the houses these
pieces have decorated over the past twenty years.
The sale also opens the door to two of his residences,
which have until now remained confidential: a duplex
rue des Saints-Pères where he mixed minimal design
and decorative arts, and a 19th century villa located in
Louveciennes, near Versailles. The latter was conceived
as a love letter to its German roots, adorned with early
20th century advertising posters, furniture and works
of art by German artists.
In each of his residences, radically designed pieces by
Marc Newson and Martin Szekely interact with Art Deco
furniture to which Karl Lagerfeld has remained faithful
all his life, in particular to the creations of Louis Süe and
André Mare.
Auctions will take place in Paris and Monaco
this December.
