Easy Air Fryer Cheese Scones Recipe | Homemade 15-Minute Biscuits
STOP buying bakery scones! If you have 15 minutes, an air fryer, and a handful of pantry staples, you can make these insanely fluffy, cheese-loaded garlic herb scones right now. Look at that golden crust!
There is nothing quite like the smell of fresh baking warming up the house on a chilly morning. These cheese scones are my absolute go-to when I want comfort food fast without heating up the entire kitchen. They come out incredibly crisp on the outside, light and pillowy on the inside, and packed with melty cheddar goodness.
Ingredients:
2 cups self-raising flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ cup cold butter, cubed
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (plus extra for topping)
¾ cup milk or buttermilk
1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and garlic powder. Rub the cold butter into the flour with your fingertips until it looks like breadcrumbs.
2. Stir in the shredded cheese and chives. Gently pour in the milk, mixing with a butter knife until a soft dough forms. Do not overwork it!
3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat it out to about 2.5cm thickness. Cut into 4 large rounds.
4. Place the scones into your air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Top with an extra sprinkle of cheddar cheese.
