Happy Friday, everyone! As I embark on my rebranding journey to House of Dahlia, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. My name is Christopher Plaza, and I am an artist, empath, business owner, visionary, floral designer, and producer.
Many of you have asked why I transitioned from Bride Candy to House of Dahlia. As I grow and evolve, so does my brand. While I cherished Bride Candy, it no longer resonated with who I am today or who I aspire to be tomorrow.
In contemplating this new chapter, I sought a name that embodies my aesthetic and reflects my humble beginnings as a young boy who loved playing with flowers in my father’s garden. The inspiration struck when I received a package from my dad. Earlier that year, I had gifted him dahlia bulbs, and by October, his garden was bursting with their vibrant blooms. Feeling homesick, he overnighted me a stunning bouquet of dahlias from his garden, and that’s how the name came to be.
To me, floral design is so much more than just beautiful flowers; it’s a love language, a poem, an experience that celebrates love. Thank you all for your support on this journey. I look forward to sharing this new chapter of my story with you!
