Celebrating 13 years in horticulture feels especially meaningful today.
As an immigrant Latina who spent a week in Guantánamo upon arriving in this country, I’ve built a life and a career rooted in plants, alongside the immigrant workers who are the true backbone of this industry.

While I take pride in how far I’ve come, I can’t ignore what’s happening around us. I’m heartbroken and outraged for those still fighting to survive, to work, to be seen.

Don’t forget, every plant you enjoy was planted, potted, and pulled by an immigrant.
I’ve witnessed it throughout my career and continue to see it every day now through my work, growing, interiorscaping, and running my plant shop.

Immigrants make it bloom. We’re rooted in resistance🪴
