Hey Florists! This is how we get the look of real candles without the mess, waste and constant reordering.
We have an event coming up where our client wanted coral pillars. The event is outside so in this case we need to use LED inserts in case it’s windy.
Here’s the process: We start with real pillar candles (we love to use ) burn down the center and hollow them out.
Then we drill a clean opening so we can insert LED tea lights inside. You can also swap in real votives if you want the real flame look, if your event is inside, we recommend using real tea lights.
It gives you the same look, but everything is reusable and it cuts down on how much inventory you need to keep buying and storing. There is no wax dripping and you have the look of a new candle for every event.
And when we’re done, everything goes right back into the original boxes for the next event.
