Indulge in a slice of this rich and gooey peanut butter chocolate cake. Perfectly balanced between creamy peanut butter and decadent chocolate, this cake is sure to satisfy your sweetest cravings!
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
For the Peanut Butter Filling:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
For the Chocolate Ganache:
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
Make the Cake Batter:
In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Gradually stir in boiling water. The batter will be thin.
Bake the Cake:
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling:
In a bowl, mix together peanut butter, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
Prepare the Chocolate Ganache:
Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until just about to boil.
Pour over chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
Assemble the Cake:
Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread the peanut butter filling on top of one cake layer.
Place the second cake layer on top.
Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
Serve and Enjoy:
Let the ganache set for a few minutes before slicing.
