There are people who make beautiful things.
And then there are people who make the world around them more beautiful.
My mom has always been both.
Bloom Again was filled with beautiful gifts, fresh flowers, and handmade treasures... but the greatest gift this place ever offered wasn't something you could buy.
✨It was her.✨
She had a way of making people feel seen.
She could spot the person who needed encouragement before they ever asked for it. She could turn an ordinary conversation into a prayer and make a stranger feel like family in a matter of minutes.
Life could have made her guarded.
Instead, she became generous.
It could have made her bitter.
Instead, she became compassionate.
She chose to spend her life reminding other people that their story wasn't over.
I think that's why Bloom Again became more than a gift shop.🎀
It became a place where conversations mattered.
Where laughter echoed through the rooms.
Where prayer happened in the middle of the floor.
Where people came for flowers or a gift.....and left carrying something far more valuable.
Feeling seen.
Loved.
Hopeful.
As her daughters, we've learned so much by watching her.
She taught us to dream bigger than our circumstances, create with our hands, take chances when nothing was guaranteed, and remember that people will always matter more than transactions.
Every one of us creates differently, but the heart behind it all started with her.
As Bloom Again comes to a close, I don't think I'll remember the shelves first.
I'll remember watching my mom stop everything to pray with someone.
I'll remember seeing customers become family.
I'll remember people walking out lighter than when they came in.
That's the legacy of Bloom Again.💐
Not what was sold.
But what was shared.
Mom, thank you for showing us that success isn't measured by sales, but by the lives you leave better than you found them.
If Patti has ever encouraged you, prayed with you, made you feel seen, created a gift that meant more than what was inside, or simply brightened your day, would you share a memory below?
I can't think of a more beautiful way to honor her than letting her read the stories of the lives she's touched. ❤️
