The Midland Beading Guild is making the annual “Hero Bracelets” at the next meeting on Monday, October 12, at 6:30 p.m. The guild is asking members and non-members alike to attend the meeting and string 100 more bracelets for area breast cancer patients.

No experience needed. You don’t need to know how to attach clasps/findings — that’s done for you. Bring a friend and just string on the pretty beads.

Many hands make light work.

The meeting is in the usual place in Midland, MI. If you don’t know where that is, just message me.

Here’s a possible goal or resolution for 2026. Why not teach someone new to bead a little something? Maybe they make just that one thing…or maybe it makes them hungry for more. (Regardless, it can be a great way to share what you have made…and learn more about each other…because we all know that the conversations we have while beading can go all over the place.)

A spiral rope was one of the first things many of us made as new beaders…because it’s nice and easy. Look at this version that uses a pretty 4 mm bead on the outside loops. Isn’t that a nice (sparkly) elevation to the simple spiral rope? Use fire-polished crystals, pearls, or any 4 mm. This designer uses 8/o seed beads in the core, making it easier to needle through (for all experience levels).
