The fall hits keep coming! This week we have some new yarns from shop favorite Blue Sky Fibers!

There's a new bundle featuring all 27 colors of Woolstok Light, the 100% fine highland wool fi*****ng weight. Each 5 gram mini hank is hand-wound by the Blue Sky Fibers staff, and has 22 yards. In celebration of our 10th Birthday we're excited to have Dances staffer Keyser host a special mini knit-along! She's chosen the adorable Dumplin' Bag series from our friend Cori Eichelberger of Irocknits. These fun little bags are perfect to use as project bags and are great for quick gifts (the holidays are coming!) or a satisfying, fast finished object!

There are a total of 14 different patterns available on Ravelry, in a variety of stitch patterns & yarn weights - there's something for everyone! Our first meeting of our new Low Stimulus Stitch Group was small but mighty! Thanks to everyone who came to try out this new option!

Our next get together is August 23rd, from 4pm-6pm. Grab a spot in the Lounge, bring a chair just in case, don't forget your earbuds, and come stitch with us.

This is a stitch group for those whose social battery is running low, or those who feel overwhelmed in high social situations. No talking needed! Load up your audiobooks, choose your favorite music, or queue up your favorite show, and stitch away with us.

Format:

Bring a chair just in case, don't forget your earbuds, and come stitch with us! As always, bring your beverage of choice, or enjoy coffee, tea, or water on us. We want to make this space as inviting and inclusive as possible for those who need quieter support with their making.

We'll have a few guidelines for this group in the spirit of making it inclusive for all:

The shop will be open for the first 15 minutes of the group. While the shop is open, people are encouraged to greet each other, share progress on their projects, and settle in for the afternoon.

​At 4:15, the shop will close, and earbuds go in to concentrate on all your projects until 6pm.

​If you need help from friends or want to ask questions, we ask that you step into the classroom and shut the door to respect the quiet vibe of the stitch group.

We'll enjoy and respect the quiet while having fun in the company of others! Come on out and join us this Sunday!

At 131 yards per 25g skein, it's a dream for sweaters, accessories, and anything you'll wear season after season. (US 4–6 needles)
