Hand delivered. “Giant Steps”. Jon’s paintings transform the sensory experience of color and texture, capturing the contours and elevations of the farmland, oceans, and rivers of the landscapes he explores. His topographical approach to abstract landscape painting brings these elements to life, creating a vivid representation of the surface of the lands he depicts, primarily across San Francisco and Marin.

“I believe that grounding oneself in the present can offer a sense of control and clarity, especially in a world that often pulls us toward uncertainty or past regrets. My creative process embraces this mindfulness, encouraging an awareness of our bodies and surroundings, and immersing in the sensory richness of the moment. Each piece becomes a way to revisit positive memories, to savor the subtle differences between past and present, and to find comfort in what is.” ~ Jon Vohr

Poet and/the Bench presents new work in addition to our current collection by fine artist Jon Vohr. The artist’s abstract landscapes in oil on canvas and panel feature the gestural markings, flattened shapes, bold areas of color and path-like bands and aerial compositions which play key roles in his abstract topographical paintings capturing locales in the open spaces, farmlands and beaches in the San Francisco Bay Area from Fort Funston to West Marin.

On view in our Mill Valley art and design gallery and coming online.

New sand cast stacking rings by our fine jewelry designer Siri Hansdotter. “Each has its own beautiful story, selecting the stone is often the first part of drawing in. Like a magnet, trust it.

The good stuff can’t be forced, you just keep showing up in ready position and welcome it to you.

It can’t be hurried- take your time, darlin!

Also like tending your fire, serene and warm and the wild world gets curious and comes closer to you.

Also like trying to find the word when you can’t place it, and then you relax your brain, and it comes without effort.

Also like the killdeer.

Also like letting the solder flow, if your body is tense, the solder will know.”
~ Siri Hansdotter

Recycled sterling silver, with ethically sourced gems. This jewelry collection further embraces the Wabi Sabi of the imperfections that are the inherent, beautiful part of the craft of sand casting. Unrefined, unapologetic, raw yet polished and noticeable. These gem stone stacking rings are playful sculptures for your fingers. Gorgeous gifts for fresh pops of color, for Mother’s Day gifts, for self adoration and adornment.
