Today we unloaded four loads (3 Yukon XL loads and one old school Durango load) of new goodies into the store. Furniture, art, lots of smalls, metal yard art, some textiles, big brass chandelier, seven nice lamps, and jewelry including a left facing Cameo. We even changed out the art in the restroom!!! Took four of us busting butt to get everything out today. Come see us this week/weekend. We will be open Labor Day also. No pictures to post this time because we want y’all to come visit us and see the new things in person. You know getting a price and not seeing the item in person is not always a winning combination. Made a quick run to Milledgeville yesterday to unload a small load of inexpensive goodies. I didn’t bring any true Antiques this time because true antiques are a little pricey as they should be. In our current economy folks are looking for a bargain. Although many of our pieces are a bargain for what they are or what they sell for new. I mean a 1940’s chest like we sold for $290.00 on Wednesday is going to be a lot less expensive than an 1840’s chest, but if you don’t know the difference you are going to swear you are comparing apples to apples. I didn’t bring any name brand/high end pieces this time either. I mean our beautiful Henredon chest that sold new for $2800.00 (priced far cheaper in our store) is going to be a lot more expensive than a Broyhill or Thomasville chest. Our Tommy Bahama sideboard that was over 6k new is a deal at our price. Handmade American quilts are going to cost more than machine made or Made in China quilts. Again you have to know the difference. I know I do a lot of comparison shopping when I am out doing retail therapy for myself. Comparing apples to apples in various shops our prices are very competitive. The key is apples to apples. So here are a few pictures of some of the useable, inexpensive, pieces that I brought down on Wednesday.
